Zodiac Expressions of Sadness

♈ Aries: Rage, impulsivity and failure to get worked up about the things they normally do, oppositional but with less verve and energy  

♉ Taurus: Isolation, binge eating and lethargy, a sense of ‘me against the world’, less patience, easier to enrage 

♊ Gemini: Silence, nerves, over thinking, easily distractible and seems ‘elsewhere’; they are fairly intolerable to sadness they tend to detach/dissociate from feelings after a short while 

♋ Cancer: Teariness, neediness, isolation, binge eating, crying after insignificant events, stomach aches, a feeling of separation from everyone around them 

♌ Leo: Obvious displays of stress, they become like a wound up string and as if they are on the brink of a nervous break down. Short tempered and needy (only around close friends/family)

♍ Virgo: Isolation, heightened compulsions (cleaning, washing hands more etc;), unresponsive in conversations, at time blunt and more oppositional 

♎ Libra: General feeling of instability/moodiness, reduced urge to socialize/be with friends, hopelessness, a feeling of being disliked/rejected by everyone, you can sense them ‘trying’ to be happy and keep composed

♏ Scorpio: Isolation, opposition, hostility and violent mood swings. Intense melancholy with at times delusions and paranoia. Thoughts even scary to them, a sense of ‘me against the world’. 

♐ Sagittarius: Lethargy, escapism (substance use etc;), uncharacteristically more serious and tense, less tolerance, feelings of worry when thinking into the future

♑ Capricorn: Demotivation, lethargy, hopelessness, over thinking, they seem tense and ‘overly alert’, hyper vigilant, force themselves to ‘go through the motions’, nothing impresses them

♒ Aquarius: Uneasy, harder to ‘reach’; as if they are far away. Silence, isolation, detachment, even though they try to appear happy. Distractible 

♓ Pisces: Teariness, anxiety, isolation, when they feel sadness they tend to feel ‘all at once’, nerves, obsessive/ruminating thinking, hopelessness, despair, lethargy

Anonymous asked: Virgo man & pisces woman, good match for love?

Someone asked me this a while ago….I wrote this awesome response and for some reason, tumblr screwed up and lost it. Virgo compatibility is coming next, so you can read more extensively about Pisces and Virgo then. However, I will say that this is an interesting pair—they are complete opposites in the zodiac and may have trouble understanding each other. Pisces is too emotional for Virgo. Yet, if these two understand how they are different and find ways to communicate effectively, especially when arguing, they should be able to work things out.

if it needs to happen, don’t drag it out. Do it asap before the birthday so they have a few days to process. If you pretend to care on their birthday and break up a week later, it will be much worse.

You should find a free birth chart site online. It will tell you your exact Sun sign.

Yeah, the term “zodiac” is referencing the 12 signs as a whole. It’s kind of an all-encompassing term. So, instead of saying your “zodiac sign” is Cancer, really we think of it as your Sun sign. The Sun was in the astrological constellation/zone of Cancer when you were born. Therefore, your Moon sign would be the constellation or zone in which the Moon was positioned on July 20 of whatever year you were born. To find your Moon sign I would consult a Moon table. There are a million of them on the internet, just type in moon sign. My favorite is this one: http://www.librarising.com/astrology/tables/moonsigns.html

No, generally Virgos get along well with Capricorns and especially if you have the same moon sign with as someone’s Sun, you feel a natural understanding for them. Maybe you just don’t like Capricorns, haha. They can be pretty intense people. 

However, sometimes when you have a Moon identical to another’s sign, you can often focus on the negative aspects of their personality. Because you share similar qualities, but your sun sign expresses those qualities differently. For instance,you might have Capricorn qualities, but they are altered and expressed in a Virgo way. So, you are likely to judge the Capricorn for expressing in their personality, the things that you try to avoid showing to others. Does that make sense?

u-m-b-r-a-underworld asked: Hello :) I'm a virgo with sag rising and a libra moon. And I am in a bit of a love triangle. My boyfriend is a gemini with a sag rising and a virgo moon. And I am falling for my best guy friend a scorpio with leo rising and a pisces moon. My mind is telling me to be with my gemini but my heart is telling me to be with my scorpio. The gemini says he will always love me and the scorpio is in love with me one day and forgets me the next. I feel so confused on how to feel and where to go. Any advice

Based on their signs, the scorpio is probably much more alluring to you. libra moon + pisces moon is quite an attraction. it can also make for a fickle relationship. virgo moons have a lot of strength in their resolve, so he probably means what he says, although it is very unusual to hear those words out of a gemini’s mouth. the scorpio will not give you their “all” until you are actually theirs. They don’t play that way, they are all or nothing kind of people. Personality wise, neither is better or worse for you. Your Virgo sun + the Pisces moon might cause issues, however, Virgos and Scorpios are generally very compatible. If I had to guess I’d say that you probably connect more with the Gemini in a friendship, mental-connection sort of way—you probably think alike and easily understand each other. You probably have more of an emotional draw to the Scorpio, a deep, emotive feeling. Your relationship with the Gemini is/ will probably be more upbeat and fun, while the relationship with the Scorpio might be a rollercoaster, great one minute and a huge emotional blowup the next. 

Ultimately, the heart wants what the heart wants. It’s up to you.

The Triplicities (Elements) + The Quadruplicities (Qualities)

Astrology has a lot of really cool and interesting components. Two of my favorite things to study are the elements and the qualities. Why? I suppose that the Pisces and Gemini influence in chart loves the theory and the Virgo in me enjoys the organization and arrangement and how it all seems to just “make sense”. Anyway….

The Elements, also known as the triplicities, represent the four basic elements that make up the world, the earth, we live on. Combined, the elements create one life force; in essence, a human life. So, you could say that the elements are based on the idea of unity. Four components that bring together one being. Fire signs represent the Spirit, Earth, the Body, Air, the Mind, and Water, the Soul. 

The Qualities, also known as the quadruplicties, represent the three basic qualities, or conditions, of life—creation (generating energy), preservation (concentrating energy), and destruction (changing or transitioning energy). Think of the qualities in terms of seasons. Every season has a generator, the month in which the season is new and its life force bursts into being covering the land with it’s “personality” (March, June, September, December), a concentrator, the month that brings the season to its fullest expression (April, July, October, January), and a transformer, the month that moves toward the new season as elements of both seasons fluctuate (May, August, November, February). Cardinal signs represent the creating force in life, Fixed signs represent the preserving force, and the Mutable signs, the destructing, transforming force. Combined, the qualities are based on the principle of diversity 

Together the Elements and the Qualities represent a UNITY WITHIN DIVERSITY. The elements are four pieces of an entity, while the qualities are three stages of a cycle. 

And this, my friends, is where we get the idea of a Universe.
